Uses for Left Over Pads, Tampons, etc?

The pads look like the same thing you can put on a Swiffer Wetjet. If I can rig up the back to stick better I may have a plan for my laminate floors.

They also make good dust rags...endust on the absorbant side for surface dust and then peel the adhesive for a quick lamp shade dust remover.

Actually, I plan on giving all my pads to my sister while I adopt an evil laugh for the transfer ceremony. This should be in the next 2 weeks...just so I can make sure there are no stitches left to dissolve.

Uses for Left Over Pads, Tampons, etc?

Well, when I was a kid, before the famous "birds and the bees" talk, I would ask my mom what the package of "sanitary" napkins in the hall closet were for. She just said they were for "special occasions." I asked then why don't we ever use these napkins when we set the dinner table for our special dinner guests? In the meantime, since I noticed that "we" never used these napkins, upon opening the box of them I discovered that they made perfect Barbi Doll beds! (Remember, 40 years ago these things were huge!)

I do have a few pads stashed in my emergency kit. I am a CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) member and they would make very good wound compresses and bandages if nothing else were available.

Thanks for the suggestion. I do like the idea of them being dust and clean up rags!

Since I had my hyst due to very long and heavy cycles I used an abundance of these every month. I was actually thinking a bon fire would be a nice way to say goodbye to these things forever!! Then my sister said she'd take them from me...I know I should give them to her...but I still can't get over the whole bon fire idea!! LOL!!

I already tied one unused tampon on the end of a long stick and it made an instant cat toy. (I called it my "fishing for cats" rod).

The cats LOVED playing with the tampon-on-a-stick.

My son uses tampons to soak up doe pee (urine) for deer hunting. Womens shelters can always use them.

My sis in law took me to my doc appt for heavy periods back in May and she had had a hysterectomy on March 17th. When I met her at her house she gave me all of hers since I needed as many as I could get my hands on. And like Amurf she gave them to me with an evil smile that said " HA HA " well when we got there and found out I had the option of a hysterectomy too I laughed right back at her. Now I have a neighbor who doens't (thankfully) have any problems but wants us to give them to here so she can get rid of Aunt Flo too. She thinks there is magic in them.
In reality I have 2 sons 22 and 19 who have company now and then and I figure someone will need something sooner or later. I have had their friends girlfriends ask me for them before. I leave all of it in the boys bathroom under the sink. My 13 yr old better not have company that close yet LOL

I like the bon fire idea!!! Unfortunately, I'm going to bequeath them to my 10 yr old daughter. On a higher note though, maxi pads make great insoles for shoes for people who have jobs where they are on their feet a lot. I used to do this when I was working as a bartender while in college. It worked great!

Wow there are a lot of amazing ideas here, who cares if the laughing hurts a little! I too love the fire idea, it seems so cathartic and primal! I do want to wait til I can get out and buy WHITE pants (which many of have probably not worn in a VERY long time) so I can wear those and dance around the fire! Have had the son's girlfriend ask for some once so might keep a few in case, but the rest are going up in flames!
