Re: What will you do with your unused tampons?

You guys might laugh...but I am actually saving all of my pads and tampons for my daughter, who is 9. She's starting to go through changes...and I figure it's getting closer. I had gotten my period when I was 11. *sigh*. lol.

Re: What will you do with your unused tampons?

I'm keeping my liners as one day my daughters will use them. They are sealed.... my tampons are super and super plus so I will donate them to a local shelter. Our church did some work with a Women's shelter and I was thinking of taking them there.

I just took my last liner out of my purse yesterday..and I was thinking, "This is it! No more of these things...." well, until my daughters start their periods. Not looking forward to that......

It must be time to resurrect this thread from 2005!

Enjoy :-)

Re: What will you do with your unused tampons?

I'll be putting the leftover products into the restrooms of the local businesses that offer free products for their female guests, once I've recovered from this surgery.

The stained undies will be unceremoniously thrown out, probably with a "good riddance" or another more descriptive term. The oversize clothes will be donated to the local charities. The unused hospital products and other stuff I collect while traveling will go to the battered women shelter.

We have a festival yearly here in Northern Nevada called Burning man..I was just telling some of my Girlfriends I want to build a burning woman out of tampons and pads and light it on fire! bye bye tampons!

Surgery is Wed 8/19 .. getting very anxious..After the Period I just had this week...Good Riddance!

Re: What will you do with your unused tampons?

I will enjoy giving them out to my girlfriends at Christmas. Throwing a tampon and a pad in each of their gift bags, gloating as I let them know how lucky I am to not have a uterus and won't be needing those things ever again!

Re: What will you do with your unused tampons?

I gave all of mine to a friend. I had a partial box. The funny thing is, she told me to hang on to a few, in my car, in case she needed one while with me.

Well, she is never in my car anymore (she now works for another company so we do not ride to our monthly sales meeting together) but I keep finding the darned things!

Re: What will you do with your unused tampons?

My friend runs our local food pantry and she is taking all mine. It is something women in need can't purchase with food stamps. I never gave a thought to buying all new panties. What a wonderful idea!!! Maybe when I am in the city for my post-op, I'll treat myself.

Re: What will you do with your unused tampons?

Thanks for making me laugh (and it didn't even hurt this time). I hadn't even thought about what to do with the leftover feminie products - probably because i didn't have any pain associated with my stage 4 endo and I ddin't even have much time to contemplate the surgery. You gals gave some great suggestions and some good laughs.

I'm gathering up donations for the women's shelter AND getting new undies - no more nasty period panties in the back of the drawer!

Thanks hyster-sisters!!!! You ROCK!
