You might try contacting schools nearby and ask the schools' nurses if there is a need you can contribute to.

Re: ok ladies! what did YOU do with your extra pads and tampons?

I gave most of my stash to my sister. I did attend a gag gift party at the holidays and made "slippers" out of the some. You take a pad and lay it flat then take another one and glue it on the toe area like a flip flop. Next to add some decor you hot glue tampons on the toe area and they hang off for a decoration. I then added glitter for color. They were a hit since most of the people at the party knew I had a hyst. I am 8 months post op and still finding them stashed all over the house and in purses.

They soldiers are really grateful for the things that they get and love the letters and coloring pages that my daughters preschool class did and I included in my package.
How wonderful. Way to go Lady Poet.

Re: ok ladies! what did YOU do with your extra pads and tampons?

I gave mine (wrapped up in a nice gift bag) to my pedicurist who is having a baby in three weeks. She mentioned that she needed to go buy pads because she only used tampons and I said "can I pass to you the collection of pads I will no longer be needing?" I threw in a little extra gift of a new a brightly wrapped bottle of ZUM BUM Spray to help her ease the discomfort of wiping after an episiotomy. She was delighted.
