How long does it take for internal stitches to disolve

I'm 3 weeks post op ( LAVH for 'broids and pelvic pain, still have overies) I had a bath last night for the first time, oh joy!! It really helped me sleep (I've had major problems there, too) But today I am experiencing a lot of discomfort peeing, really stingy. Also increased bleeding. Have I done something to the healing internal stitches?

I am still waiting to 'give birth' to the promised stitches, how long does that take?

Every blessing to fellow sisters who are frustrated by not being able to do much at this time of year!

My stitches started coming out at five weeks. Mine are white and aren't real easy to see. I think it would be easy to miss them all together if you aren't watching real close.

How long does it take for internal stitches to disolve

I had my TVH on 11/8 and didn't see a stitch till about a wk ago and then I only just happened to find a couple. My Dr me that they start really breaking down about day 20 and can go until about day 50.

I can still feel one or 2 of mine still. I go Tues for another ckup and if they're not gone by then my guess is that he'll help them along cause they are driving me NUTZ!

Did your doc give you the okay for taking a bath yet? What might be happening with the stinging is the soap or whatever you used might be irritating the incisions inside. Keep an eye on your urine , you could have a UTI and it just happened to pop up on ya now and have nothing to do with the bath, just coincidence.
I hope you start feeling better soon.

I agree with Marian I think you should give your Dr a call asap. It does sound like you have a UTI and those can be very painful. So see what he also says about you taking a bath, I know my Dr said in a couple of weeks maybe 4 weeks would be ok for me to take a bath just make sure that you have given the green light from your Dr
