Hi Cuddly

Are you on hrt?? I do know that can cause wierdness, until you are adjusted. And remember, you just had major surgery, your body is dealing with alot of changes and healing. Just a hint, take your temp, you could have a fever and need to call your doc. I am going to doc this afternoon for leg pain and chills.

Being cold and sweating could indicate that you are running a temperature. You just had major surgery and may have an infection. Please get a themometer and call your Dr if your temperature is high.

Best wishes.

It can also mean your sugar is low (I'm a diabetic & I get that
way when my sugar is bottoming out - with fast heartbeat, too).
It's considered as "cold & clammy".

When I get night sweats its like that...I sweat and get all wet (I hate it!!) and then get cold from being wet. I've been taking PhytoB (natural supplement) and its gotten a lot better. But, definitely rule out the fever issue first

hot and cold

Hi,

I have always run hot, until I had the hyst. I was anemic afterward, so spent the first few weeks freezing. Now I find I'm a combination of the two, my feet will be sweating while I'm in bed, but my arms and hands could be cold, even under the covers. It seems that it's hard to get my thermostat regulated or something. I read that the hormones are swinging pretty wild the first few months after surgery, so it isn't surprising to have strange symptoms like this.

But it can't hurt to take your temp regularly anyway.

Hi ladies,

Straight from the Drs mouth "Anaesthia(sp?) can cause the bodies temperature regulator to go out of whack causing people to go either hot or cold, but usually cold, for anything from a few days or up to a few months after a surgical procedure involving a general anaesthetic". Obviously "out of whack" is a medical term. Rofl. Hopefully that helps you. When I had my uterine suspension in 1999 I was freezing and walking around in layers of clothing....the problem with that....it was 40odd degrees celcius outside. It took about 5 weeks before it went away. Good luck
