This is brilliant I am so glad we have all come together on this, I mean how many pre-op women are going to have found the quiz in a search and taken it, then be horrified and worried afterwards?

Quizzes are all well and good but they should at least make sure of their facts first.

The other sad thing is, especially for women who do not find this site, is for those pre-ops who go to the doc and the doc says that in 4 - 6 weeks, you'll be just fine! Methinks this doth not ring the truth.....

I loved your description of your surgeon
The guy I used to have do my horses backs (when I had my beloved horses) was a tiny bloke all thin and stick like and gnarled he looked like about 100 years old (I have no idea of his real age) but he was amazing with the horses and an absolutley fantastic chiropracter - he even did my back for me after a partiularly bad fall when I crushed 2 vertebrae in my neck, 3 in my back, twisted 2 ribs and tore my rotator cuff muscle.
- my doc had said go home and rest and Ronnie was due to do the horses for their 6 month check up and he saw me, demanded I be checked and treated me at a far far lesser cost than any commercial chiro would have.
In fact he didn't used to charge me for the check up's unless he actually did something "I can't charge you when I didn't do anything lass..."

The old proven good guys are always the best

I asked mine how old he was and he told me...very steady hand. The neatest scar by far, better than the surgeon who did my gallbladder and he was half the age. Mine was a stocky, short cuban who spoke broken english, but was very kind and caring...also very understanding of my "issues"
wouldn't trade him for the world!

I just got the standard " Thank you for your input, I will send this on to the people who need to see this." email from Ivillage. I truely hope it does get sent to the higher ups and they do something with all of our emails that have been sent in to them.

I do not know maybe it is just the mood I am in, but there are times I wish doctors had to go through half this stuff (or at least the equevalent )that we do so that they get a really good idea of what we are going through. :eyes:

Hope you all are doing better

What kind of statement is this?

"Most of the problems women experience after a hysterectomy are minor and reversible"

Minor??? reversible??? reversible I want my uterus back so I can have more children if it reversible.

That quiz was very misleading and hurtful. Thanks for letting us know about it.
