16 days and doing well

Hi All,

Just wanted to check in with my recovery. Everything seems to be going extremely well. I feel fine, with the exception of some twinges and a very itchy incision. I am moving around fine, bladder is working (I can void for the first time in years) and so are the bowels. Gas seems to be gone, sleeping fine, and only taking motrin every 8 hours. I do have swelly belly, and seem to be retaining water, but I know that's normal at this stage in the game.
I am still taking it extremely easy, but I've been walking and cooking and wrapping presents?
I really appreciate all of the support and sisterhood on these boards, and just wanted to give those of you just starting out something nice to read. It can be scary reading about the horror stories some of our poor sisters have been through.

I'm replying to this so the late people see it. I think it's important to know that not everyone has a horror story to tell.
