Endo ?

might want to look over at the Road Less Traveled forum. Endo can come back enough to cause trouble at 4 6-8 months and later, so those ladies might be posting over there.

Endo ?

Hi, Stormy.

I have been curious about that too since I had my SAH-BSO 6 weeks ago for stage IV endo (among other lovely things!) and am therefore not a good candidate for HRT.

Anyway, in my research, I discovered that soy may also promote the regrowth of endo even if you don't take HRT, so I am stearing clear of all of those drugstore menopause products as well as soy milk, soy beans, etc. and am trying to find other ways to cope with my hot flashes and night sweats for the time being. My understanding is that anything that has estrogen-like properties can also have estrogen-like consequences, but maybe I am wrong.

Anyway, I wish you (and all of us) the best of luck in coping with all of this. It certainly is one complicated, crazy ride, isn't it? As if the surgery and recovery weren't enough to deal with!

Take care and have a happy holiday.

s and best wishes,
Carrie

yes, endo can return

It's rare with no HRT, however soy acts as estrogen in the body. Estrogen is also stored in fat cells.

My endo returned after LAVH, both ovaries gone. My post hyst endo was diagnosed just 4 months post op through another Laparoscopy.

My opinions are just that, you should seek advice of a physician.
