Eerie behavior

It's been almost a year since I had to have my beloved Moonlight put down. Suddenly, within the last few days, his "sister" Mab has been doing things that he used to do.

Moon loved to drink running water from my bathroom sink, and suddenly, Mab has begun to do the same.

Mab, who always ignored the cat beds in the laundry room, has began to curl up in them each evening. Moonlight used to use the beds as his "retreat" when he didn't want company. Mab has always been a momma's girl, so when she disappears to the laundry room, it kind of unnearves me.

Moon used to play aggresively, and Mab has done the same somewhat.

Moon used to wake me most nights after midnight to play, and Mab has done the same, only not to wrestle like he would.

I'm not a believer in "ghosts" but I do believe we all have a spirit that continues on. However I have always believed that in spirit we do not remain here but go on to our reward (Heaven or the other place).

Any thoughts? Or just coincidence?

She's not acting totally like Moon, just some of the things she is doing are like what he used to do.

Hi Marta, gosh I don't really know what to tell you.

I think (feel) that animals know more about time than we give them credit for. (weather patterns - timing of daylight - moon cycles, etc.) Since you said it has been almost a year, maybe Mab is having memories. Maybe Mab is missing Moonlight. I'm sorry I just don't know. I wish I could say more.

Besides.....maybe she is just learning new things and having a bit of a personality change. We as humans do it and I'm sure you already know that our beloved "babies" do it also.

Don't worry. Mab is fine.

s to you....the anniversary of Moonlight's passing is coming up and you're probably grieving and bringing up a lot of memories.

Take care! Trina
