Ready to go back to work

I helped out a friend who has a restaurant, and I was probably 10 weeks along. I worked for maybe an hour, carting dishes, taking out food, etc. I was exhausted after my hour, and I knew by the feeling in my tummy, I had carried way to much.

I remember at 2 weeks just sitting in the restaurant for 2 hours one night. I figured 'I am sitting, how bad can it be?' Well when I stood up to go home, I darn near collapsed from the pain and exhaustion. DH had to help me get in and out of the car, and DS had to tuck me in.

Good luck...But I wouldnt do it! Better yet, I could not have done it at 2 weeks.....

Ready to go back to work

I assume you want to go back to work because you need to, and i can certainly understand that. I had my surgery about the same time you did and I am feeling pretty good too. But one day I pushed myself, going for a walk around the neighborhood, going to church, going on a long car ride, and baking Christmas cookies. At the end of the day I felt really bad. My internal stitches were hurting like crazy. I realized I needed to step back, slow down. If you have to go back to work, could you go part time, every other day, and get others to help with the lifting?
