Have you been feeling fussy ?

I'm sorry, mea culpa, I'm feeling really vulnerable just right now 9 days after surgery.... just a tad a completely imperfect human being

My Mom mentioned that a lady could come and help me with the cleaning if I wanted, and she just mentioned in passing that this serious hard working young lady was 24 and absolutely gorgeous and had excellent work references...... huh !

Forgive me for sounding so impolite.... but at this very moment I am a completely dumpy thirty-something touchy old mamma with a stomach shaped like a capital B. My once slender gams have spread dramatically under the weight of motherhood, housework and..... PopTarts. I groan when I bend and quietly rejoice in being able to pass gas.

I wish the very best to all the fabulous beautiful members of my gender and to their slender stomachs.

Sorry for venting, I think I'll pass on any household help for another ten pounds.

Am I alone with this, or does anyone feel the same post-op ?

smiles & dreams

my, I've just re-read myself, and I feel even more imperfect, like an ugly dumpy duckling in a world of lovely swans.
oh my I can't even delete this silly message

"Outta my face" or... "have you been feeling fussy towards other women?"

Hello Smiles,
Most of us on here are feeling like ugly ducklings. You only have to read the messages to know that. Sweety, if you need the help, get it. If it is better for you fragile ego, and you can find others to do it, then politely tell you mother that no you've got it covered. Right now, anyone could come in and clean my home, I would not bat an eye!! I am not to the point where I would take the Ex girlfriend in but then she is even messier than me!!

Smiles, I have a huge tummy, and feel even worse than I did, it just hangs there like a spare tire, that is flat!! But I have learnt that I am loveable and perfect enough for my DH. I have inner qualities that make me beautiful. You do also, and yes, motherhood, life and Pop Tarts may take away some of that wonderful body you used to own, but dont get the skinny beautiful women get you down. IF I did, I would have done myself in years ago!!

Hugs Beautiful sister!!

Oh thank you Harley thank you for your kind words....
I've been feeling so dumpy and ugly (9 days post-op). Yesterday, my dh and son went off to have X-mas with my mother-in-law, and I spent all day feeling like something the cat left out in the rain. I did the laundry, the dishes, cleaned the kitty litter and finally I threw a towel over the mirror....
Sorry to vent, but I'm feeling like half a woman, half a person, only good for loving those around me when they need me, but not able to ask anybody for a fraction of the same.
My Mom's been really good to me, she's been through the same operation 27 years ago and she understands, but she's already done so much for me I don't want her to know that I'm sad.

my, I sure hope this passes quickly, cause I'm not used to being so soppy.

smiles & dreams
