Was soooo anxious to get it on today....

Yup, that pretty much sets the mood eh? I promised hubby that if my mom took our kids overnight last Thursday (like I hoped) we would give it a go. On the day of I dreaded the idea! My mom decided to go home empty handed and it just so happened my husband ended up with the flu the day of his work x-mas party.

Since hubby was sick through the holidays and slept all of Sunday when he got home Monday he was a bit frisky. So for the first time since August we made love.

Felt the same, I had my cervix removed, was nervous to be on top, so I didn't. I worry that my hubby things everything is okay and back to normal and will want it more. I went back on the vicodin at noon today. So not sure if I can handle an "active sex life" at 7 weeks post op. Then again my libido has been nothing to talk about since having kids 14 years ago!!

The kicker is that my 8year old asked "What was daddy doing to you upstairs anyway?" I said we were watching tv. That is why I didn't want the kids at home. We usually wait till they are asleep or at school, since it is x-mas break we can't get any time for that!

Sorry if this post was TMI (too much information) but needed to vent!
Thanks

Dear bunny_nose,

Oh kids, you gotta love them! Glad to hear it went well for you. It is a big step for all of us that first time. You need to just talk openly to dh about how you feel. I know for me I would ache and even kind of cramp afterwards the first few weeks. Let him know how you feel and work out something that works for both of you.

s, Rita

I am sorry your experience was frightening or painful. I am worried about it too, but am only 2 weeks post op so I still have time for healing. <oops...please keep it PG rated> We just married in July 2003, and it took me awhile after the wedding to stretch to accomodate him. Now we start over again.
I know now to save back a few of my darvocets..

Another thing, I was extremely tired early in the day. Over slept too. Not sure if it is from the extra activity, vicodin, or I bummed too much during the day!

Was soooo anxious to get it on today....

LOL I am so bad, I told my hubby that I can't have sex for 6mos after surgery! The look on his face was priceless....but I felt bad, so I broke down and told him the truth. I am 2 wks tomorrow post op, and I have to admit I am scared and concerned, but apparently from all the other posts, this is normal.

Was soooo anxious to get it on today....

As I thought what would happen....2 days after our first encounter of having sex he was like a hungry dog. "How bout now?" He got home from work in the am, I was achy from a dinner out with the girls, which meant talking an extra 2 hours in the restaurant in those hard chairs. I am making dinner..."Come on, a quickie before dinner?" I only had 5 minutes left cooking, rare enough that I cook, back off! "After dinner then?" He tried asking again before he left for work.

Geez, I can't do daily, no way, couldn't before either for that matter. I feel like I did at 3 weeks again! I went shopping with my girls today for 3 hours, had the night out with the girls, I have had a sore throat for 2 days and nearly lost my voice today. I carried 2 gallons of milk (in one hand), and a bag with 2 2ltrs, and cans in the other hand, up the stairs and into the house! I must of pulled something cause now I have a searing pain in my groin!! Um...no sex, sorry, no thank you.

He is going to be so unpleasant for the next few days. Nothing new!

Was soooo anxious to get it on today....

How is it that men can just "do it" no matter who is up and around in the house, or what time of day it is? When my DH is home during the day he always wants me to take a "nap" with him ........ Yeh right!! Im sorry, but I just cant concentrate on that knowing that my kids are up and watching tv in the den. My 9 yr old would be asking the same thing you son did, "What were you and Daddy doing?" Oh, and we have also had them knocking on the door while we were in the bedroom, and asking us what we were doing.

Anyway, sex was not very, um, pleasurable for me right after my hyst., but things are much better now. I hope that things improve for you too!!

Well not to be too informative but I did my "chore" for the day. He is a happy camper now. I hope I do find my libido soon. I haven't had one in so long. Maybe that chick viagra is the key!
I do have both ovaries and all but just never in the mood. Then again I was achy from shopping with the girls the day before and I slept wrong so I woke up achy still and a backache. Not to mention a slight sore throat, more loss of voice than pain though.

Men don't care if you haven't showered in 2 days, just woke up with morning breath, and that 2 of the kids are in the bedroom next to yours asleep or awake. It's amazing!
