Can Lexapro do this?

I started my Lexapro this morning, took my first pill. (10mg) About one hour after I took it, I felt a little dizzy. Is this normal or should I be worried. I have been having some headaches here lately, the kind that you have when your blood pressure is running crazy. I dont know what is going on, kinda scared to go to the doctor. Does anyone here know any side effects of Lexapro?

Can Lexapro do this?

I have taken it before and I had this side effect as well and started taking it at bedtime so I wouldn't feel that. But yes, it is a side effect.

Can Lexapro do this?

Thank you, that does make me feel some better. I know I still need to go to the doctor about these headaches, Im just afraid too. Also, I hate to tell her about the dizziness from the Lexapro, because she prescribed it for me like 2 months ago, and I just started taking it today .................

You need to let her know about the headaches, but go ahead and take the lexapro at night, it will help. Why did you wait so long to take it?

Can Lexapro do this?

I guess I was just in denial about really needing something like that. Afraid of side effects, I dont know, I guess I just had to make up my mind to do it. What could be causing the headaches. I always think the worst, which I know is not good.

Stop thinking the worst and just go get it checked out. You will never know what it is unless you do. It could be your hormones need adjusting, something that simple!

Can Lexapro do this?

Hi There!

Possible side-effects from taking Lexapro should be listed on the print-out from your pharmacy that normally comes in the bag, accompanying the medicine, the first time you get a new prescription filled. Remember, you can always call the pharmacist with any questions you have about a medication.

Lexapro makes me sleepy when I first take it, so I take it right before bedtime. You might want to try taking it at night, too.

Many s to You!

Can Lexapro do this?

Hi, my sister takes lexapro and I remember her saying that for the first two weeks she had an incredibly throbbing and tight head headache. She also experienced naseau. She made it through and is doing fine on it. Hope this helps.

Couple years ago, I had nasty headaches and blackout type things. I was driving one night, Dh in the car beside me, 2 hours from home. I remember all of a sudden everything went black. I could not figure out which way was up, or how to get off the road, but still conscious enough to know I had to get off. I asked DH to help, and he got us pulled over and by then I was ok, but terrified. I know me, so i told him to watch as I drove home. If I hadnt driven I would not be driving today. Anyhow, I KNEW I had a tumor, I was going to die!! That was it, all I had to do was have the tests, and they would just verify what my heart was telling me. I went for a CT scan, and the nurse laughed when I asked if they had found anything. She said of course "NO! Nothing up there"... I get headaches all the time but have learnt not to self diagnose, and not to think the worst. If it bothers you enough, see the doctor. They really dont mind dealing with afraid patients. Honest!!

Husg to you
Kat

PS we still had no idea what caused these blackouts. They believe it was my BP dipping to dangerous levels. Reassuring huh??
