Outercourse???

Hi sisters

I feel a little silly to even ask about this. I noticed in another post, that some ladies mentioned having outercourse. I had a TAH, kept both ovaries, on Dec. 14th. I have been following the posts & am ever so glad to know that a lot of my progress is right on with just about everyone else. This site has truly been a blessing!!

However, I do know about the "No sex for 6 - 8 weeks" rule and am only to happy to go along with that. My DH is very supportive & just as nervous about resuming intimacy as I am. I am wondering if it is okay to try outercourse. We want dearly to be "together" but definately do not want to risk any setbacks. Also, if we were to try outercourse, what can I expect in the lines of side effects (pain, tingling, etc)? Any words of advise would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to sound so silly

Belinda

Outercourse???

My DH and I started having outercourse after my 2nd week post op (initiated by me) . I had experienced the big "O" at that time. I did notice the next day that my tummy was a little sorer than normal. I believe that when I climaxed, my muscles contracted which gave a little stress to the healing process. We stopped for a few days and tried again. Things are going well.

Good luck, go slow and enjoy each other!

Outercourse???

I don't exactly remember the first time we experimented...maybe a couple of weeks. I do remember being very relieved that things were still in working order.
I also remember getting little electric-like pangs inside--right about where I imagine the vaginal cuff is. It wasn't bad pain--kind of a nice reminder of what we had done. My dr. told me that having an orgasm wouldn't do any damage as long as we took it easy and NOTHING inside the vagina.

Outercourse???

We tried outer at 3 weeks and have been doing it ever since. I'm at 6 1/2 weeks but have to wait another week before we can try the "real" thing. I was concerned about stitches pulling inside during the big "O" but everything was ok. It's easier if you relax and don't tense up or spend the entire time worried about what COULD happen.

Outercourse???

Thank you soooo much ladies for sharing. I still feel a little silly for even asking, but it's better to be informed and who would know better than my new sisters!

I feel better now about things.....who knows, maybe tonight's a good night

I love this site!!! I don't know how I could've gotten this far without you.

Take care & God bless!
