any young ladies had everything out and happy about it

I had my TAH with BSO (nothing left in there) on Nov. 30th - at age 39. I am very happy so far. I have always had trouble with my ovaries and cysts, painful periods too. Last year I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and had to go through chemo, surgeries, and radiation.

I had to have the hysterectomy due to heavy bleeding, dehydration, and blood pressure troubles during my periods. I decided to get rid of everything due to my concerns with Ovarian Cancer. After surgery, the path report came back totally clear - so, now that worry is gone.

I am not going to use HRT due to my cancer history. I was really worried about all the problems you hear others have. Yet, I haven't experienced hardly anything. I am now 5 weeks out, and I have had a few warm flashes (couldn't really call them hot flashes - they were very mild and over quickly), no troubles at night with body temp. either.

So, all in all, I am very happy with my decision.

Good luck with your decision, Barb

thanks so much for all of your replys

i really apprechiate it, i feel like im getting good news for a change
im trying to wait a while b4 another surgery since ive had 3 in the past year.

my gyn doesnt want to take my ovaries he says there healthy but the right one hurts me everyday and i dont want to have a lap every few months for endo

i think getting my ovaries out is probably the best choice

for all of you who are battling with the hormones id definatly try the natural things first its seems alot safer

I hope you all continue to do well
have a happy healthy new year
