Talking - Happy, happy new year! Happy, happy new year!

Good morning sleepyheads!
A happy, happy new year to you all!
Is coming up for 11am in my house, and not a soul is awake!
I have done so far today.........
16 mins on my bike (would've been longer, but the phone rang)
Am drinking coffee as I type, well not as I type, just put the mug down to type.
already this year, as I have not taken anything out of the freezer for lunch, I am going to be in sooooo much trouble. Will maybe make a chicken curry later on. hmm!
Well, gotta go, at least the dog is up now, next door's cat is yawling to be let in here (how brave!)
Catch you later!

Happy, happy new year!

Happy New Year!

Last nights celebrating was TOO much food and TOO much drink!
I guess that combo is what brought Izzy to visit as sleep was not good. Got up with big time cotton mouth and a queasy stomach! (hangover....???)

My plan is to hit the water and lots of it and maybe a nap later on. Right now I still feel a little too wired!

I have no idea what breakfast and lunch will be...yet! I do know that dinner will be our traditional pork and sauerkraut with mashed pots. I know I will be OK with that as I am not too crazy about sauerkraut, so I know I won't overeat on that...LOL!

Hope you all have the BEST year Ever!

Here's to striving to thrive in 2005'!

Take Care, Dawn

Happy, happy new year!

HAPPY NEW YEAR BEST!!!!!
We spent a quiet New Years Eve at home with DS. He has met a girl and she had to work last night so he hung out with us. (poor kid! )

It is a new year;
So to all my friends dear,
I wish you all to be;
OP right along with me!
In 2005 my goal is success,
The best way to start is OPness.
I will find my way here,
Where I can always count on a CHEER!
And also a word of encouragement,
When I have been over indulgent!
My plan for the year is to lose my rear,
And be at my goal by this time next year.
Good luck to us All!!
As we watch our weight fall.
3 Cheers for you all! YOU ARE THE BEST!
In the South, North, East and West.

I hope you all have a wonderful year ahead, many, many blessings to you all. Thank you for all the encouragment I have found through you.

Happy, happy new year!

Oh wow, how can I follow that, Margo? Thank you for that poem! What great thoughts for the New Year!

Okay, I'm up, I've taken my Actonel and my 30 minutes of no eating or drinking are up so I can have breakfast after I do my AM yoga. I'm thinking oatmeal would be good with walnuts tossed in followed by a glass of rice milk.

I'll be doing the fitball again, too. It's much easier now that I know what the exercises are and don't have to read, balance and move at the same time! Ditto on the yoga tapes--I don't have to watch anymore to see what to do. Ahhh progress!

Hope to get in a walk later today but it's rainy so that plan is iffy.

I hope everyone had a safe and happy celebration of the New Year!

Happy New Year to my BEST friends! Thanks for providing friendship and motivation!

Happy, happy new year!

Happy New Year BEST friends

Didn't make it here yesterday, and what a time I had this am to find you. But I needed a best friend fix and would not give up till I found you.
Last night was a quiet night at home, we watched movies, dd was in bed, but ds, mil dh and myself stayed up till about 1 am. Didn't put out any snacks and no one even asked for them. Bonus for me, I was wanting them but decided not to unless someone asked for them. Thankyou family.

Donna~sounds like you have that ball well under control, my house is way to small for one of those, I would probably crash and hit my head on the fireplace or something like that.

Margo~What a nice poem, I hope you don't mind I am going to print it off and take it to my TOPS group on Tuesday.

Dawn~Get lots of rest today and lots more water, you need to rehydrate that body. Bet you had a good time for sure.

Fran~ Your house sounds like mine its nearly 10 now and its just dd and myself.

Today I am making a ham and scallopped potatoes. I have a romaine lettuce in the fridge so there will be a salad and I think there is even enough to make a greek salad, my kids love them. May make some jello for a fat free dessert.
Hope you all have a great OP kinda day. Take care
Hugs

Happy, happy new year!

Happy New Year BEST s

The year started off on a good note: we all slept in until 9 am... or later!!!! That is such a treat, since the kids are usually up much earlier than that.

So, this the New Year and time for a new start. So, I started off with a relatively healthy breakfast of Toasted Bread, Margerine and Ham. I've already had two glasses of water, which is an improvement since, lately, drinking water has been very, very hard for me.

This afternoon, I'm joining DD and her friend at the local rink, and trying out my new skates. It's been such a long wait: I've been yearning for those skates for two years, but it was just too cold the past two winters to enjoy skating outdoors. So I just took the plunge and decided to go for it!!!!

Lunch will be Chicken Parmagiana: it's bought frozen from M&M Meatshops and is simply awesome!!!! Not quite OP, but close enough (It's New Year's day, after all!!!!)

Supper will be all you can eat Shrimp Fest... it's our annual New Year's Day supper and DS simply loves it!!! We usually have a combination of Baked Garlic shrimps and Breaded Shrimps in Tempura batter. It's simply out of this world. And the shrimps we bought are soooo big, they look absolutely yummy!!!!

((((Dawn))))) Sorry about the hang over Do drink lots and lots of water... that's the only way to flush it out of your system.

(((Margo)))) Maybe your little poem could be out theme song for the year??? Thanks for giving us a very inspiring start!!!!

(((Donna)))) You sound very energetic today!!!! Good luck with the ball and yoga. BTW, I'm planning to stay away from chips (all kinds... except Nachos), for a month... we'll see from there....

((((Denise)))) I'm happy you found us. Isn't it great when all comply to ensure that we are not tempted by any treats?

Well, enough for today: I'm off to prepare my lunch!!!

Happy, happy new year!

Good Afternoon BEST sisters

What a wonderful way to start the Happy New Years! celebration here at BEST but with wonderful new colors and graphics on the board and with Margo's great poem. How cool! I'm loving it all.

Stayed up late watching "You've got mail" (love Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan together) and did some baking. Just wanted to play with my new mixer and didn't till DH went to bed (he had to work today). We did have a few snacks - some crab cakes and mozzarella sticks and pizza bites. Shared 1 crab cake and only 2 each of the others, so not overdone! Was a good thing. DD enjoyed our little private celebration with mom and dad. Watched the ball drop then off to bed she went.

Today was up late and have been in the kitchen "playing" again. You don't want to know all the nonOP stuff I've been making. But it's for the open house tomorrow. Lets just say it's all wonderfully tasty - my neighbor doing the taste testing NOT ME!!! I'm being good, lol.

We're planning a walk for later (my neighbor and I) and I'm hoping to talk DH into going with us. It's wonderfully warm out - about 60F and should be a mild evening. So I'm looking forward to it.

I have realized I have so much energy and feel great yesterday and today. I also know it's from the B12 shot my PCP gave me on Thrus. He is going to give me another one in 2 wks then a persc for either the nasal spray or injections I can do at home once a month. I am looking forward to it. The surgeon was doing them but we only see him every 2-3 months now. I like this monthly idea.

Anyone out there ever use the nasal spray? Let me know if you liked it.

Well I'm off to dip the homemade Chocolate Citrus Biscotti into melted chocolate and dust with cocoa powder. Oooppps....wasn't supposed to mention that. ROFL Sorry!

Hugs to all in the wonderful new year of 2005. May this year bring us happiness, health, peace, and comfort.

Happy, happy new year!

Happy New Year to All:

We had a simple lovely New year dinner with friends and waited out the time playing scrabble...being the Queen of words I won all three games...

Melissa, how did you like You've Got Mail...that's DH and my favorite movie as it somewhat resembles our relationship in that we met online and for the first four months communicated solely by email....so we joked when the movie came out that they owed us royalties.

Today I have been very good, toasting in the New year with lots of water, a trip to Gold's Gym and an egg and toast for breakfast, turkey salad for lunch and leftover steak and salad for dinner.

Hope everyone had a wonderful day,
Peg

Happy, happy new year!

Hi everyone,
Today, I really had a hard time getting up and out of bed. A bit to much last night with a few friends, I think. I had 2 french toast, banana, coffee, and orange juice again at the hotel for breakfast (even though it was really 1:00 by then) and then kind of blew it at a chineese buffet for dinner (not much open in this little town to eat out today). But now I'm drinking lots of water. Chineese always makes me thirsty.

I know I'll be better in my own home when I can do my own meals. But tomorrow is a new day...
Thank you Margo for the 6 meal a day ideas. That will be my goal. To eat more often but less and healthier. I can do this.
I hope you all had a great New Years Day.

Happy, happy new year!

Good evening!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

What a lazy day, watching the rose bowl parade & chatting with Lace. Our main meal was mid afternoon...steak with a wine/mushroom sauce and fresh asparagras.

Last night was not OP (!) but relaxing and quiet at our friend's house...got home about one, and headed straight to bed.

Dany - I am so very happy that you got your new skates!

Melissa - have fun with your open house...I agree with Shirley that you need to take good care of yourself & not miss a lot of meals.

Desk - I think you are creative! only a creative person could come up with the food combinations that you do!

Margo - what a cute poem...love my plan for the year is to lose my rear"

My friend last night was saying that her motto for 2005 is "simplify in 2005"

Love these new colors...I did a double take when the site opened! Waiting to see what else will be new.

Take care my friends...
until tomorrow
bliss
