Another Surgery!!

Back in Feb 2002, I had a hysterectomy and my left ovary removed due to adenomiosis. Dec 2003, the doctor had to remove the right ovary due to cysts that he could not control.
Since then, I have been back and forth to the doctor complaining of pain mostly on my left side but also my lower back. Asked him if it was possible for the endometriosis to grow back and he said no.
Went in on Wednesday for him to remove adhesions that were bothering me something aweful and found out that part of my left ovary was left inside and that in deed the endometriosis grew back.
I am in so much pain from the procedure but also very depressed and upset over the situation...any advice? I could use some depresetly...

I am so sorry that you were having problems. What you had is called ovarian remnant syndrome. If you click on resources on the top of the page and enter this, you should find a lot of information on it.....don't worry, there are other sisters here that have had that as well and I am sure that you will be hearing from them soon.
I am sure you are depressed, we all have this surgery and expect everything to be done..unfortunately some of us have ongoing problems since the surgery.
Did you have an open surgery or a lap for the adhesions? What is your doctor's next plan of care? usually if endo is the culprit, they don't let you take HRT for a while, have ya;ll talked about this?
I dont' have many answers as I have never had ORS, but I just wanted to let you know that I was thinking about you and I will be sending prayers your way
