yeaaaaaa
I have made it. Hard to believe. Im feeling pretty good. I have my ups and downs as is expected.
Even though I kept my ovaries, temp taking estrodiol. Dont know if I will stay on or not. Want to see if my ovaries will start doing their job. Will not worry about that till I run out of pills.

We hear of so many people talking about pain. Today, I wanted to say. Its great to be 3 weeks.

It not always bad.

3 weeks today

Three weeks for me too! I was pretty tired today. I am not having much pain at all. I had a short period today when I thought I was close to normal, but it didn't last too long. I also took a short walk outside.

3 weeks today

My best wishes to all three week survivors out there. I am three weeks tomorrow and doing better than I thought I would be at this point. Looking forward to another turning point at 4 weeks and my 6 week check up. Hopefully, no setbacks and we all continue to improve a little at a time!

3 weeks today

Hello 3 week Sisters! I too am three weeks today. Whew. I made it. I was doing great the first two weeks. Had it pretty easy with the exception of the night sweats. Those are bad.

Well, these last few days have been harder if you can believe that. I had a horrid night 2 nights ago, tried to roll over, and reall pulled something in there. Now it is not too bad, but I finally have it. Have heard much about it... but it got me tonight. The dreaded "SWELLY BELLY". Yeouch.

I think part of it was the turn in bed and the other part was the pushing of the cart. I came home and hit the tub. Sat in there for a bit, and decided it was time for some pain meds.

Now the last couple of days I have had a bad headache. Not migraine material, but just really pounding. I hear that is common about this time, so I won't fret about it.

I go for my first check up Post Op on Thursday. I have a list of questions a mile long. Can't wait to see how things are healing up in there. I think this is one of the few times I am excited to see the OBGYN!

Anyhow... it is so nice to know we are all in this together. The advice I have gotten from this site has been priceless!

3 weeks today

Hi Sisters!
I can't believe it's been 3 weeks today. Sometimes I wonder if it's all a dream. I seemed to have turned a corner this week. I have had 2 days in a row where I could actually eat something other than toast and can eat more than once a day!

I almost passed out in the shower this morning. I've had that happen a few times before surgery too, so it's not because of the operation. It's very scary though. I haven't been over doing it at all. I get too tired to do much of anything. My dh has his hands full around here, but we know how important it is to heal right.

I'm a little discouraged about not being able to get out of the hosue. I don't even desire to go out. Is this strange? I don't feel depressed at all. I did have ice cream the last couple of days and that always brings a smile. I'm not supposed to eat dairy but a girl's gotta cheat once in awhile! What else is there right now?

I am glad I'm making progress just wish it wasn't so slow!
I almost forgot: My swelly belly is better today! I could actually wear my regular sized pajamas that I bought right before surgery, and i've had them on ALL day! Kind of silly what we consider accomplishments aye?

Wish you all well as we continue heal and move forward!

3 weeks tommorrow~!

Well, I will be at 3 weeks tommorrow, and I must say, Im not doing as good as I thought I would be. I guess its just such a slow process that Im getting discouraged. I have really bad achey stomach, and really bad swelly belly! Lopsided at that!
I do hear that it is better at 6 weeks, sure hope so. I get so tired when I do anything. Have to lay down and take a nap!
I am looking forward to the day that I can say "Im glad I had this done, best thing Ive ever done for myself!" Hope it comes soon!

3 weeks today

I am at 3 wks tomorrow also

Have been doing great, going out, walking, etc.

Developed a saroma last night, leaking from my incision so had to see the DR today to have it drained. Said it's gonna take a wk or so for it to all drain out.

Bummer!

Congratulations, 3 weekers!!!

Wow....it is great to see another large group sharing the same surgery date! That's one of the many wonderful things about Hystersisters..............all of us get a chance to talk with our own "graduating class" at the very time of our recoveries. It's always nice to touch base with those that are going through it, as well as those that have been there.

Keep being good Princesses.....is super to hear you are all doing so well! Things will be getting better, gypsy.....

3 weeks today

Hi all,
I'm at the 3 week mark also - feeling pretty good and getting out some. I had my 2 week post op appt last week and things are progressing as they should. Still restricted on lifting, etc. - so my husband is in charge of all the feeding, etc. of the horses! I saw a reference to headaches - yesterday I started with a major headache, quesy stomach and generally feeling "off". It went away overnight after some Advil and sleep, but here I am at 6 a.m. and it's all coming back after being up for an hour. Does this sound typical? I had a lot of trouble with nausea/vomiting from the anesthesia and took Zofran for nearly a week. Surely I'd be past that side effect?
Glad we're all on the road to recovery!

3 weeks today

Hi sisters!

I had my TAH, kept ovaries, 3 weeks ago tomorrow. I had a great morning yesterday. But, as usual, by evening I was back to square one again with one awefully swollen, sore belly & completely tired out. It is very frustrating to not be able to do much without feeling so tired out. As a treat, I went out & had my hair done yesterday morning. I was so exhausted from just that little bit that I slept all afternoon!!!

My hormones are still out of whack....so, I cry at nothing, & get terrible cold flahes.

I have been experiencing sharp, stabbling pains in my abdomen lately as well as a burning sensation in there???? I'm wondering if this is a normal part of the healing process????

All I know is that this is one very S-L-O-W process and I will be ever so glad to be able to say that it is finally over & that I am back to being me again.

Thanks for all your support sisters. God knows, I'd be lost without you!
