10wks post op. More sore now than earlier??

Just found this thread. I didn't see it last week. I am 11 weeks(?) - Today our backyard flooded and silly me decided to climb the hill in the back and check things out - DH was out of town...my feet kept getting stuck in the mud and then I realized this was crazy!! The backyard is still flooded and we may have a major mud slide but dh is on his way home. thank god! Anyway - I've been wiped out ever since... Its amazing how this all takes. It just hits me - all of a sudden I hit a brick wall and I'm done...too pooped to pop as my mom would say

when will I ever learn...11 weeks post op and trying to prevent a mud slide.!!

oh well... I really relate to all you october princesses... I guess it will take what it takes...time!

10wks post op. More sore now than earlier??

I'm so glad to know that there are other's out there feeling like this. I thought I was losing my mind. I have been back to work since my 6 week check up. The doctor said I would be a "little tired" but everything else should be fine. I drive 45 minutes to work and home. I've also been going to "training" for my job which is a 2 1/2 hour drive each way. I now have a burning on my left side which makes it difficult to walk sometimes. My moods seem to be going up and down. I have been on hrt since the beginning. My poor dh thinks that I have lost it and sometimes I think he is right. He tries so hard to make sure everything is just right so I won't "lose it" I couldn't have made it without him.

Anyway, thanks for letting me know that I'm not alone. It looks like alot of us have an anniversary of 10/25/04. I guess we should just be happy we're this far in recovery.

10wks post op. More sore now than earlier??

I'm 12weeks post op and was hoping to go back to my job yesterday (caretaker of a school). I had a lot of joint pain prior to my op and at week 6 I was told I had rhuematoid arthritis and have been put on meds which wipe you out (none of the other awful side effects..yet!)but they take time to kick in before you get pain relief so work is a no no so I'm feeling very depressed. I had a text book recovery but knew because of my job it was 12weeks out so I was ok with it but could of happily gone back at week 8/9 but I was very good and done as I was told so this just seems to be a big set back.

It is very normal to get aches and pains sometimes it's your body telling you to slow down or it's early days after your op.

Thank you so much for this thread. I thought I was bonkers. I'm young, healthy, active and doing absolutely nothing and here I am with inner pain, pain on my skin and today I feel swolen like a watermelon. What's it been? 12.5 weeks or something like that? Honestly I felt better in some ways at 6 weeks.

There's no cause for this. I have done nothing but sit around and watch the rain and go to my sit down job in a car (not on my bicycle).

I'm glad I'm not alone with this. I'll betcha the doctors have no idea about this 10-12 week hump thing.
