Good Recovery

Just to let all of you know, that it is possible to have a good recovery.

I had a vag hyst just over six months ago. It was NOT a hard decision to have it done. I had to self-cath for the first couple of months post-op, but other than that I've had no major bumps in the road. My ob/gyn sent me home with an Rx for 40 Vicodin....I've still got 30 of them. No problems with my libido....no sex issues, either. My family was very helpful all the way. I went back to work full-time after three weeks. The hardest part of all of it was the 5-lb weight lifting restriction that I had for three months. I could not lift my three year old during that time. My docs have all been very helpful...in fact, I ended up going to work for my urologist!

Best of luck ladies.... It doesn't all have to be bad.
