weird line of swelling above bikini cut

I'm 11 days post-op and I have a proud swelly-belly with the numbness above the incision. My DH told my that my profile is that of Afred Hitchcock. Isn't he a sweetie LOL. I would have kicked him if I hadn't been so worried about pulling an internal stitch.
My friend had TAH a year ago February. She looks and feels great now, but she did tell me that it took her a good six months for the dreaded swelly-belly to completely disappear. Every time I look down and can't see my toes, I think about that and it cheers me up a bit. I bet I'll be a lot cheerier in six months though, LOL.

Wow...semms like we all have it. Mine is there too and no amount of "sucking in" makes it go away. My days of wearing form fitting skirts are gone for good, I'm afraid!

I've got a long vertical incision but also have a small 1 inch horizontal cut where they stuck in a drain.
The shelf thing hangs over the small horizontal cut but the real horror is how the vertical incision looks all sucked-in. I'm one of the ladies who looks like I have a butt in front. And I'm not overweight.
The one positive is some of the staple marks are starting to fade. I had thirty of them so that is good news. But my incisions are as purple and dark pink as ever. Yuck!
