Comfortable clothing post TAH?

I just can't imagine going six months without my jeans. I used to live in them! I tried them on this morning just to see how they feel and I knew there was no way I am ready to wear them yet!

Comfortable clothing post TAH?

I am 3 weeks post op and am only able to wear loose sweat pants, and that's when someone is coming over. Otherwise I still wear the 3 sets of "pretty" pj's I bought. They are so comfy, and with earings they make me feel good.

Comfortable clothing post TAH?

Hi ladies,

Well it is the middle of summer here in Australia so I have just put aside some A-line dresses that fall from just below the bust so the tummy has no restrictions. My hyst will be on the 28th of January when it is just getting really hot although it was 44 degrees celcius 3 weeks ago and it is usually hotter at the end of January.

Regards Sasha

I am 4 months post and can wear any normal waited pants except jeans, I have been wearing them on Fridays to work and by the end of the day I am running to get home and put the sweats on. I am hoping this improves as I too like my jeans and at 4 months I figured I would be having no trouble sorry to say not the case as of yet.

I love my stretch jeans! I have two pairs, and I wear them everyday. I did have to wear them with the zipper undone at first, but now I don't (well, maybe if my belly is swelly). I remember trying to put on the sweat pants that I wore home from the hospital. I had to sit and hold the waist band out! I could not wait to get home and into my pj's. I have not tried on my work clothes yet. I do have two pairs or comfy pants that I would have to wear pre-op on my bloated days. I think I may have to go with them.

I was able to wear my jeans at 2 weeks, so when I had to leave the house I'd wear them, as soon as I was home though, it was back to the sweat pants.

But everyone is different and has swelly belly or tenderness for different lengths of time.

Best wishes!

Luckily I've been on a weight loss program. My jeans were too big for me pre-op. They fit fine now post op

As for driving I was released at 2 weeks and driving that night. I've been out at least for short trips every day. I think it helps with that "caged up" helpless feeling I have.

Comfortable clothing post TAH?

I am 2.4 weeks post op and I just took the hospital panties off and upgraded to big-old period panties and sweats.
I don't want ANYTHING to touch my stomache. I wore my mom's pj bottoms and my shirts when I wanted to look like I was dressed. JEANS - NOT AN OPTION for me. I can't imagine what I am going to wear to the DR when I go. The first trip I looked like a freak & DIDN'T CARE. I put on earrings & jewelry when guests are coming over. Not interested at ALL in how I look.
My grandma said that I need to have a "sexy" gown. Yeah like I can have sex. Not interested in that outfit. Her idea of sexy and my DH's idea were totally different. And I quote: "Just because we can't do IT doesn't mean you have to wear THAT to bed!"
