Still Feels Like Prolapse

Hiya Everyone
I had my uterus suspended in April 2004 due to a bad prolapse , my cervix was coming right out. I had only been back at work 2 weeks and it came back. I had 3 months off work and have a desk job did no lifting etc. I felt it coming back within a week of the op but everyone said I was being paranoid. In Nov 2004 I had TVH and anterior repair (6 weeks ago). I have never had any leaking from my bladder which has always surprised my doctor.
Since about 10 days after my TVH I feel like something else has prolapsed. Even more so the last few days.

I have always suffered from constipation and now I seem to have trouble squeezing my poo out (sorry I didn't know how else to put that) Also I can feel a bulge around my rectum more so when I try to open my bowels., have I got some more prolapse or is it still early days?

I'm so paranoid.

Still Feels Like Prolapse

I would call your doc about it, but hopefully it is just everything being different down there. I had TVH(adenomyosis and prolapse) with rectocele, cystocele and urethrocele repair on Dec. 7th and went for my four week check last week. I was concerned about the way I felt having BMs and just all the general pressure down there. After all my prolapses I guess I expected to feel light and empty. Doc said it was all healing correctly and the last couple of days I've really felt like some of the pressure is easing off.

Hope you're okay.

FEEL BETTER SOON

SUNFLOWER YOUR NOT PARONOID YOU HAVE JUST BEEN THROUGH ALOT ITS GOING TO TAKE A WHILE UNTIL YOU HEAL UP AND FEEL BETTER.

TRY TO GET AS MUCH REST AS YOU CAN AND DONT LIFT THINGS
IT REALLY DOES TAKE A WHOLE YEAR TO RECOVER

IF YOUR HAVING PAIN EVERYDAY SEE YOUR DR. THEY CAN DO AN ULTRA SOUND OR CAT SCAN TO MAKE SURE THINGS ARE OK INSIDE

I HAD MY TVH IN JUNE 04 I WAS FINE FOR A WHILE BUT STARTED TO HAVE PAIN SO IN DEC 04 I HAD A LOPORSCOPY AND THEY FOUND ENDOMITRIOSIS ON MY BLADDER AND ADHESIONS

IF YOU HAVE PAIN LATER ON AND IT GETS TO BE DAILY YOU MAY HAVE SCARE TISSUE OR ADHESIONS

BUT SINCE YOU DONT HAVE ENDO YOU SHOULD BE FINE ONCE YOUR ALL HEALED

I WISH YOU A HAPPY HEALTHY NEW YEAR

I TAKE PRENANTALS EVERYDAY THEY HELP ME GO #2 DAILY
ALSO B-VITAMINS ESPECIALLY B-12 HELP WITH ENERGY AND FEELING BETTER

EATING RIGHT AND WATER ARE GOOD TOO, SO JUST BE GOOD TO YOURSLEF..GOOD LUCK

If you are having a bulge pop out between your vagina and rectum or in your vagina (ahve you checked there yet) while you are trying to poo, more than likely you do have a rectocele. That is what I have and when it first appeared it was heck trying to go that time. EVer since then I eat 2 packs of instant oatmeal per night and I go by 11am, that may stop working so I have my citracel on standby and I take stool softener. Have your doc check it out to make sure it is not a bad one.

Still Feels Like Prolapse

Hi (((((Julie Anne)))))

I'm so sorry you've been having such a hard time of it It must have been distressing to end up with a hyst so soon after trying to save your uterus

I had a Stage 3 rectocele repaired at the same time as my hyst. I remember that when I was about 3 or 4 weeks post-op I felt what I thought was the familiar bulge. I was sooo distressed because I was sure that the repairs at failed.

At the urge of my Hyster Sisters, I went back to my doctor. I'm so glad I did: it turned out that it wasn't a return of the rectocele. The bulge was due to a lot of swelling of the healing tissues. And, most likely, was due in part to the fact that I was sitting too often and too long.

I would also check with your doctor regarding the bulging around the anus. It could be all part of the healing process. But it could also be caused by something needing medical attention, such as hemerrhoids <sp?>.

Hang in there, ((((Julie Anne)))), you're not paranoid: you've gone through a lot in the past year and it's normal to expect the worse after such an experience. Hopefully, however, it's all part of normal healing and you'll soon be on your way to full recovery.

prolapse

Thanks Danielle and everyone else for your replies.
I'm going to be patient, I go to see my Doctor again 17th Feb the week before I return to work. In England our follow-up appointments are 3 months after our ops which I think is too long.

The problem I have is that it's that long since everything was normal I've forgot what normal is!
