This stuff worked for me! DH and I are PLEASED!

After my TAH/BSO in August my sex drive seemed fine for about 2 weeks, then NOTHING! no desire, didn't even think about sex. I wanted to, believe me my DH and I had a great sex life before and I wanted that back. My cervix was also removed and I was afraid my sex would never be the same.

I mentioned it to my Primary doctor but we both forgot about it when I went in as we were more focused on my iron levels at that time -which are now normal! Anyway I really didn't want to deal with perscription meds just yet.

I was looking through my "Natures Sunshine" catalog (natural supplements) and found a supplement called MACA. Here is a portion of the desciption-

MACA
Maca [Glandular]. Statistical reports suggest that one in three men in the United States between the ages of 18 and 59 years are not entirely satisfied with some aspects of their sexual desire or performance.
**Women express equal sentiments. Many have turned to natural or allopathic medicine for help.
Maca (Lepidium meyenii), a tuber that is a member of the radish family that grows in the Andean mountains of South America, may provide a natural means for **improving sexual desire and performance.

I didn't have anything to lose so I bought some. Oh my goodness! I've been using this for 2 months now and I feel great and 'normal' again- DH is thrilled too!
It's wonderful, I hope this could help some of you out there too. The website is (Oops! No links to commercial websites, please! You can do a Google search.) click on products and search for MACA or call their number on the site. Blessings to you.

Do you have a website for the magazine you found your "miracle"
in. Sounds like I may be needing some of that. I am going through what you are, the night sweats and hot flashes, irritability are horrendous. Sounds like you are doing better tho, I am happy for you and DH.

Thanks for the info. I'm hoping this will help me too. Does it help with hot flashes too. I haven't had any bad ones but since it is so hot here I can't really tell if I'm having them or not. It won't cause them (hot flashes) in women that have had a TAH/BSO will it??? I don't want to create any problems!

Thanks for the info Hisjewel....I`m familiar w/ the Nature`s Sunshine company, so I will definitely be checking MACA out. I too, had ovaries removed ( as well as uterus and cervix) and I fear for the loss of libido. I`m hormone deficient and feel like a zombie (or at least not so much human as I was before) Hugs.Dianne

I read the info on nature's sunshine site and I got the impression that is is more for the males than females. I want something for me...I'm tired of feeling nothing.
