Pain after Constipation at anterior repair

I am 3 months post op from a TVH and anterior repair (just removing extra skin and stitching it back up). I was doing great until I was constipated for a couple of days and had to strain to have a bowel movement. This was about a week ago and I am still having a burning sensation in the area where the anterior repair was done and either swelling or another prolapse. I also had a small amount of pink discharge several days ago. Has anyone experienced this problem 3 months out? I'm afraid I did some kind of damage from the straining. I've been hoping it would go away and I wouldn't have to go to the doctor. Thanks for any advice.

I would definitely make a quick appointment at the surgeon's office. This may be normal or there may be an infection or something there. It's best to be sure and put your mind at ease.

I guess you've already learned one of the big lessons... don't strain! Instead of worrying about this, as I'm sure you are, get over to the physician's and have him/her check it out.
