Eight weeks swelly belly

I had my surgery 5 days after you. I too am still struggling with swelly belly. It's much worse when I sit straight up in a chair. I think it's because that position puts pressure on my abdomen. Unfortunately when I'm at work, that's the position I'm in when working at my desk. By the time I get home I can't wait to put on my big jammie bottoms and sit in my recliner!

I too have lost some weight after surgery. Now my pants fit strangely. I've always had a large rear and thighes and bought pants styled to accomodate. Now, from behind my pants look huge! Apparently my rear end has lost plenty of weight! But because of the change in my body shape, my stomach takes up all the spare space in the front. I'd go out and buy some pants that are cut differently, but I'm holding out for this belly swelling to go away before I do anything.

Eight weeks swelly belly

I want to give you ladies some hope. At 9 weeks, my swelly belly is GONE, knock on wood!!!!! I am back in my size 8 pants.

Now I confess some pants are still tighter than before, but I figure that will go away with time and attention to what I put in my mouth.

The swelly belly, for me, went away rather suddenly at about 7-8 weeks.

Good luck ladies!

Eight weeks swelly belly

I'm so glad to hear that it is normal to still have this belly. I've lost 15lbs and can't fit into my pants. I was getting so discouraged thinking my belly was going to remain this way forever!

Eight weeks swelly belly

Well I'm sitting right here at work and it is casual day so jeans can be worn. Well mine are all the way unbuttoned and unzipped a little. What was I thinking this morning, I felt great that I got them on this morning but just 2 hours at work well one good thing I work alone in the office and I can have my pants unbutton if I want ......... It will just take time.... One day at a time.
