vaginal botox injections anyone???

Hi long time no post! I do try to read for support and information. . I am at my wits end. I have four surgeries in one year three lap surgeries, two of them for adheasions, many test and four monthes of pt and six weeks of scar injections , pain and pelvic specialist appointments. I have been or neurontin and nuertriptaline and soma and lots of motrin to get through the day. I cannot sit for a period of time I get burning and pain on a daily basis.
I went to a neurologist and she put me on a higher dose of neurontin and told me that my problem was in my back?? no way can you beleive that one. I went to my family doc and he sent me down to graduate to a different pain doctor.

I suffer from constant and cronic vaginal burning and pelvic pain. The pain Dr. that I have been seeing at Graudate hospital in Phila suggested that I have a sacro pain stimulator implanted in my spin to help my pain, he told me that pain med therapy would be a last resort and that the pelvic Doc that I am seeing does this procedure. I had not met her yet just the nurse pract and the other doctor that handles bladder pain. Well after waiting to see her for almost three months, I was told that this is done only for people with bladder pain and disfunction and suggested that I have botox injections to help my contractiing muscles that are shot and that I needed more pt. This procedure is done in the OR and I would go under again and would lose a couple days of work. She also seemed to think that I might have to go the pain med route??
I am still not ready for that yet or am I?? I am so disgusted and very depressed and always in pain. . I did set up the botox procedure for next thursday so I can recover over the weekend, and I have a appointment next tuesday with the pain doc. I am so tired and sick of Doctors and always tryint to get to these appointments . Please let me know if any one has had this done or the pain stimulator?? Thanks Girls. Mary

Certainly sounds like you have been put through the ringer girlfriend! I am sorry that you are having to go through all this. As you can see by my sig line, I too am an adhesion and chronic pelvic pain sufferer. May I ask what type of PT did you do?
I have never heard of these botox injections for this use and I am curious as to how it all works...I think I will have to do some googling
I hope the procedure is uneventful for you and wondering what all it entails since you have to have a few days to recover from an injection. I pray that it works for you as it might give some of us hope. I am on the medication route right now until I go to my appt with a pelvic pain specialist doc and see what she has up her sleeve for me. I hate that I am on medication all the time and have been for over 2 months now, but I know I can not live my life without it --the pain is debilitating. Please keep us updated and let me know what the pain doc says next week. My prayers are with you.
