I had my six weeks check up Dec 23, 2004. Internal, pap the works, everything is healing fine. I'm even back to work now on my second week. I'm surprised just how good I feel. I'm worried though cause my "sex drive" isn't there. I have to make myself want to be with HB. What is wrong with me? Should I be concerned or will this come back....soon? I realized that I haave had major surgery, and that time heals all things, but I think cause I'm pretty much back to normal, my hb thinks that all the "extra" stuff should be too. I'm angry at him for not understanding and angry at myself for pushing so hard. Any suggestions on what I should do?

Hey there.

I am almost seven weeks post op and have not had my check up yet.

I, too, am nervous about "connecting" with hubby again. From what I have read in posts in can be painful the first few times. That makes me not want to even venture there again! That is where my libido has gone...into hiding!!

Pain has been my middle name the past seven weeks so why would I want more???

I would love to hear about my sisters' experiences (PG rated of course :smile).

Bring it on girls...I'm ready to hear it all...

Ok Sarah, PG version just for you Just kidding..seriously though I found that my first time after surgery was more a mental game than physical. I was sooooo worried about my sex drive before the surgery. I am only 24, was 23 at the time, I've been married since 19 and was lucky enough to have a child 14 months later, but back to the sex thing....At first I was too tense to even think about it, so we spent a lot of time relaxing and talking and my understanding husband gave me a wonderful back massage and once I relaxed everything else seemed to also. It wasn't the best ever but it wasn't awful either. I will tell you it gets better with time. I had they hyst because of endo so I honestly never knew what it was like to have sex drive before the surgery and now, well it's better than ever. So hang in there ladies, I promise you some of your best sex ever is yet to come!!
