4 months out....

Hello Everyone,
Well I have kind of a funny story to share, but it wasnt really funny when it was happening.

Monday night, when i went to bed, I felt nauseous....Yesterday morning I got up with a tummy ache. Felt better by lunch, and made the huge mistake of eating. Laid down for a nap after lunch cuz it was just sitting in my stomach, wrecking havoc on me! I had onions and they were just not making me happy.

Anyhoo, got up when DS came home, and was so bloated, i did not want to eat supper. Had a couple glasses of ginger ale. Got up about 8 to go to bathroom. I felt as tho I was back in week 1. My incision hurt, my intestines were on fire, and I was so loaded with gas....I was doing the 90 year old shuffle all over again!! It was kinda funny.... So in this all happening, sometimes it is a gradual change with healing from this surgery, I found out how really good I was feeling!!

I wanted to post this tidbit so that new princesses who maybe are not feeling 'tons' better will know, that yes, it does get better. And a simple touch of the flu will make you realize it! I feel much better today, somehow things got moved around, and released over night. Maybe that is why DH is not up yet!!

So in all honesty, yes the intestinal cramping does go away, even if maybe you dont feel it by leaps and bounds. And yes, there is a nasty stomach virus going around....

Hugs to you all

Kat, I'm sorry you got a touch of the flu. Glad that you are feeling better now. Yes, there is nothing like realizing that you are starting to feel better each day.
Take care!
