Sore, Tender Boobs!!!

Hi Sisters! Hope you are all recovering well!

Anyone experiencing sore breasts and nipples?

I had a TAH on Nov. 25th. Kept my ovaries. Not having any hormonal issues aside from a few sweaty nights sleeping. My boobs are constantly tender even when I am not experiencing my "ghost" period.

I can see having sore breasts during the time I was supposed to be menstruating but why all the time?

Keep me abreast of your experiences! (Sorry, couldn't resist!! )

Yep, I had that

My boobs stayed sore, tender and swollen for like a month or so. They have finally went back down to normal size and stopped hurting.

Yes I also have the same problem. It thought it was my imagination at first, but no. I have had it for the last four weeks. Strange.

What's the deal? I had a LAVH, LSO on 11/30/04 and my boobs are sore for the past 2 days and I feel like I am having psycho PMS. I guess this is normal? What is a "ghost" period? My GYN didn't tell me anything except to give my body 6 mths to "get used to it". Advice for the delirous????

A ghost period is my term. It's when your body used to have a period, but now no longer bleeds. You get the PMS, the sore boobs, the hormonal stuff, but no bleeding or cramping.

If you still have your ovaries, you will get these symptoms like most of us used to. Minus the blood.

Sore, Tender Boobs!!!

I am 2 years now and the reason I came on here is cause I have been having the same thing! Sore nipples! I saw yesterday to cut back on caffine and soda. So, I am trying it. Seems just like when I was pregnant. hmmmm

Sore, Tender Boobs!!!

After my surgery last May, I had swelly boobs. Now it is 8 months later since I kept one of my ovaries, I get to experience PMS. I get the soreness just like before, except now it seems to last a lot longer!

After surgery, sometimes the ovaries can be in shock and this can change the time you would normally be on your "cycle" once the ovaries wake up. After my surgery, I experienced hotflashes and all sorts of weird stuff until my ovary decided to wake up. Now when I have "PMS", I have the soreness in the breasts and at times I'll get the bloating.

I tend to wear a sports bra during the times of soreness. Less jiggling!

Thanks for the post. You mention that our ovaries can change the time we normally would be on our cycle. This makes sense to me. I think my boobs were sore because this was when my phantom period was happening?

That was a good point. Thanks!
