Adhesions & Inguinal Hernia too :(

Well, it's been a little over 2 years and it looks like my next surgery is quickly approaching. My GYN thinks I have adhesions as well as an inguinal hernia which are causing a great deal of pain (to the point of I cannot exercise at ALL and haven't been able to for 4 months at Dr's orders). He has referred me to a pelvic surgeon (specialist) in these type surgeries. I made my appt 4 months ago for 2/3 as he is the only one in my state. I tried, in the meantime to get another job so I could get this covered under insurance; but, no such luck. Thankfully, I believe my current insurance is going to accept this case being that he is the only one in the state.

Anyway, I have missed so much work I'm lucky to still have a job and I dread going back tomorrow as I have missed the past 2 days as well due to this pain. I want my life back...I feel like a giant bowl of flab. I am so nervous about what he will find and have horrible thoughts like 'what if he goes in there and doesn't see anything wrong and I'm stuck with this chronic pain'... I've got to quit thinking like that...it's so depressing...I just want to feel good again...

Oh, (((lulu))) , I'm so sorry you are facing another surgery. I'm glad, though, that your insurance company is going to cover you and that you're seeing a pelvic specialist

Good luck with your appointment, and let us know what the surgeon says, OK?
s,
