Adhesions?

I'm a bit over 5 weeks since surgery and am feeling quite well. So well, that I am dreading going back to an extremely physical job with quite a bit of lifting. I'm hoping my doc will cooperate and write me a note for a couple of extra weeks out, just to be sure.

I've been reading the posts for a couple of months now and would like to thank everyone for all of the help and insight you have passed out!

I do have a question though that I have not seen the answer to. My doc told me after the surgery that I had an excessive amount of adhesions from an etopic pregnancy that went 8 weeks before exploding (it was half in the uterus, half in the tube, but that is another story). I had a LAVH and was wondering if I can get more adhesions, even if my hyst was not abdominal?

Thank you so much!

Adhesions?

emb,

any type of surgery can cause additional adhesions. I has a laporoscopy about 8 years ago and my Doc removed adhesions from my ovaries, uterus, tubs, bladder and bowel. When I had my TAH 2 weeks ago the adhesions were even worse. You need to take it as easy as possible! NO LIFTING!

take care and s!
