question about pain

At 2-1/2 weeks I was still taking my pain meds regularly. In fact, I was still waking up at night with pain bad enough to have to take them during the night, too.

Although many sisters report not needing pain meds at this point, others do. Every recovery is different!

However, I would caution you not to try and go back to work (especially with a stand-up type job like you have) if it is difficult to stand for any length of time yet. See how you feel -- please don't push it.

Good luck to you!

question about pain

Hi, I am also at 2 1/2 weeks post op. and still have to take meds. not as often but later in the evening. As for going back to work I would try to wait as long as possible. You body needs the time to heal. My doc said 6 weeks and I can go back on light duty, Listen to your body girlfriend it will tell you when its ready Is what you need.
