Weird feeling

Hi Patti,

Many of us experience effects to the bladder with our hysts. I had a radical hyst, which is done abdominally and includes taking tissue samples from the bladder, so I had a supra-pubic cath for just under 3 weeks post-op.

My point in telling you this is because once my bladder was ready to function again and the cath came out, I noticed a 'different' feeling when my bladder is full. It's difficult to describe, because it isn't painful, it's just...well...different. For me, this is a permanent change and it has not caused me any problems. But, it was weird getting used to a different sensation.

I still suggest that you mention your symptoms to your Dr. as you are still so early in your recovery. Other things, such as UTI's, can cause different symptoms and not always painful.

Best wishes and s
