What type of milk/diet should I have after TAH/BSO?

Ok, I am new here, and still tring to figure out how this all works. I have my post-op Dr. appt. Feb 11th. In the meantime, I would like some advice, personal stories, regarding diet, and specifically milk intake. What diet worked for you? What type of milk do you drink? What is your age? Are you on HRT? And anything else you can think of. I have a list of ?'s for the doc, and it keeps getting longer, but I want to be as informed as possible. Thank you all.

Do you mean after surgery??
A lot of Drs have very different ideas about when and what foods in the early days of recovery.
I can only tell you what I did and worked for me, my Dr I thought was a real meanie, liquid diet for at least 3 days post op, I hated it and begged for something solid to eat , but the nurses told me that Dr M was very conservative and I would thank him in the long run. And I did, I had terrible constipation before surgery ( I think what was going on inside was causing this) but was luck that I opened my bowels the day after surgery and have been every day same time for 4 1/2 months since. My Dr believes that only having clear liquid diet gives the sleeping bowels time to wake up, as he thinks overloading in the early days can lead to a major pile up some drs have the complete opposite approach, so ask your Dr what he recommends and why, I eat even better than I did before surgery, I had been losing weight for a year before but found without all my diseased bits my body felt alot more detoxed, I still make sure to get my daily recommended dairy intake.
Goodluck, wishing you a problem free surgery and recovery
