6 weeks and not so good.

Hi sisters.

Im 6 weeks post op after a TAH RSO. Im seem to be feeling worse the last week.

My tummy is really swollen and I feel lifeless. I went to my Dr last week and she released me for everything but not for work as she thought I looked unwell still.
I am on Bp meds since the operation, Last week my Bp was still a little high but since the weekend I have been having a strange feeling in my chest. It really tightens and I find breathing hard. Could anyone help?

6 weeks and not so good.

Hi Tricia,

I think 6 weeks was the WORST time of my recovery. Prior to that every week I felt better, but at 6 weeks I felt like I was going backwards. I think it is different for everyone, but what you describe sounds like a normal recovery to me. Be patient, you WILL start to feel better.

Now, as for the chest tightness, have you ever experienced panic attacks? I had a couple and that's how they feel, like chest tightness. Sometimes when I feel a lot of stress, I'll feel my chest start to tighten up again. It's possible that what you are experiencing is a stress reaction. But if you are in any way thinking it could be heart related, please call you doctor. It's better to feel a little foolish than ignore something serious.

6 weeks and not so good.

I had a panic attack once along time ago. I seem only to get these at night and when Im in bed. I dont feel stressed but would'nt rule it out.
Thanks for the hope as to the 6 week feeling, I hope it will past by soon.
