Food cravings????

Has anyone else had odd food cravings since their surgery? Ever since I got home from the hospital, all I crave/want to eat is bread and pasts! I feel like a :snort:

Have any of you other HysterSisters gone thru this??

Food cravings????

Chicken noodle soup was the only thing that sounded really good right after I got home. I haven't had any wierd cravings, but I did eat a LOT my second day in the castle! At first I'd start out not feeling like I could even eat half of what they brought me, then I'd chow it all down and want more! Most of the time I could just eat all day!

I already needed to lose about 60 lbs., so now at home after 6 weeks, I'm having to start eating less-I bought some Nutrisystem foods for while DH is out of town during the week. I don't have to think to eat and it's great! I don't know if I've lost, but DH did notice this week, so we'll see on Monday!

Good Luck,
Virginia

Food cravings????

The first 2 weeks I did not want to look at food. I did not even eat christmas dinner. Now I am eating too much, not really as I lost 12lbs and was only 99lbs to start. I am back at 99lbs. I crave salt and chocolate. I am eating so I can maintain the weight.

Glad I'm not alone...

Food cravings????

I'm not much of a carnivore, especially when it comes to red meat, but lately I have been fantasizing about a nice chunk of filet mignon, with grilled vegetables and rice. Go figure!

Food cravings????

CHOCOLATE! I'm not a big sweets eater, but since my hyster I have been craving chocolate like crazy. I found chocolate covered Bing Cherries at Trader Joe's. Yes, I ate the whole container. No, I'm not going back there. I know I'll buy two containers and eat them both.

I have always had trouble digesting beef, but I have wanted it for the past few weeks. I had a hamburger and it stayed with me. Amazing! Now I want a STEAK!

Food cravings????

Yes, I didn't have any desire to eat after that soft yuck in the hospital and the surgery...Lost 6 lbs afters two weeks. Nothing seemed desirable except for CHOCOLATE and I've never even been a sweets person. However, at my six week check I gained all my weight back plus two pounds. My dear family & friends cooked too much good stuff and the appetite returned...darn!

Food cravings????

Protein, protein, protein. Chicken, eggs, cheese, beef, you name it. That is what tastes really good right now. And chocolate. But I always want chocolate. So I guess that doesn't count. Christy

Food cravings????

OH this is too funny. I left the hospital and we picked me up spaghetti and meatballs on the way home. That was the first time I left the hospital then I had to go back a week later and after the first 11 days in the hospital and not being allowed anything but a martini in my iv or a fresh bag of fluid I begged the ambulance driver to stop at Burger King for fries and a Dr Pepper on the way to the next hospital. Then when I got out of ICU I tried to order pizza and got told that was a big no no then I got cought eating packs of oreo's that I talked my hubby into bringing me and that was funny I had eatin 5 packs of them in one sitting. LOL Then on the way home we got me a man sized meal of Mexican you know with all the extra sides minus the onions. Then ever since then I just love Schwann's Bisquits and Pasta. ......Hmm that is maybe my big weight problem there. I love food. My biggest dream is to go on one of those cruises to the bahama's they serve food 8 times a day and an all night ice cream shop. LOL I am trying to loose weight and here I am dreaming of food. I never used to be this way 110 lbs now I'm 143. I will loose it I promise.
