into 5th week anyone still tired?

I was just wondering if anyone is still finding they're tummy is still having some pain and if you're still feeling like you don't have all that much energy yet? I had my TVH on Jan.3/05 kept my ovaries.
I went shopping with my sister on the weekend we weren't out for very long but my the end of it I felt so exhausted I felt like it was kind of hard to think straight. I just wondered if I'm just being a baby or if any of you other ladies felt this at this time of recovery?

I had my TVH on Dec 6th and am still tired a lot. The Dr says it is normal. Our bodies have been through a lot. Are you taking vitamins? I am taking multi vitamins and it seems to really help.

into 5th week anyone still tired?

Mine was Dec 17 and I'm still tired. Today is my first day back to work and I don't know how I'm going to get through the day without a nap. It's nice to know I'm not the only sister out there that is still tired. Sometimes I feel like a big baby.

thank you shelly and teenee for your reply. I am taking a multiple vitamin and extra iron, I'm taking the extra iron until my 6 week checkup. Good luck at your first day back to work teenee!! I'm kind of dreading my first day back I'm a hairstylist and I keep having a fear of what if I can't do it what if my energy hasn't returned yet. My DH is sooo awesome though he just says "well then you just start a little later, it's no big deal" I also had adenomyosis shelly I am so glad to be rid of that!!!

Thanks again for your replies it makes you feel so much better knowing that your not alone in your feelings.

I still have little to no engery too! It's like my brain says everything is okay, but the ole body says...whoa....slow down! I did a trip to the grocery store on Saturday without my helpful dh and just didn't realize how the lifting into and out of the cart would just do me in! Luckily dh was home when I got home to unload the groceries and put everything away.....I took a nap! It's frustrating, I know. I think I'll look into taking a vitamin now too.

Take care,
Aimster

feeling tired

Hi all you fellow sisters....I am 11 weeks post op and finally feel like life is getting back to normal. I was extremely tired until week 8. I found that once I had gone back to work at 6 weeks post op (and struggled for two weeks--I won't kid you) and I am back into the "routine" things started to improve for me.

Good Luck to you all and happy recoveries.

Hi,
I was tired for about 8 weeks. Around week 10 I noticed that my energy level was really bouncing back. However, I can still crash after a couple of really busy days. Shopping still makes me exhausted. Hang in there!!

5 weeks today and I'm sitting here crying as I write. I'm an esthetician and have to go back to work tomorrow. Had a total crying breakdown when I just went to the beauty supply store to pick up a few things I need for this week. Thank goodness I know the girls that work there and they gave me a big hug. What a big crybaby putz I am! I know I need another week or 2 off but I have nowhere to move my clients, I'm booked for the whole month. I am still achey and my swelly belly is still here. Some of people's posts actually make me feel worse because they are doing so well at this point and I'm not. I really feel I should be doing better by now which makes me cry even more.

tired

I'm 5 weeks today and still tired. Some days I have lots of energy and others I feel like sleeping all day. I am not cleared for work till after 2/9. I'm trying to do more daily to try and be ready but I'm not sure how it's working. I will have to hit the road running once I'm cleared to go back.
I did drive today for the first time but had to take a nap when I got home. I feel pretty sore in my lower abdomen tonight and achy.

Good luck to everyone. I hope everyone feels better soon. It's nice to hear from some sisters farther along to know there is light at the end of the tunnel! Thanks for your advice!
