Bath?

Hi!
I wasn't released for baths until I was 5 weeks post op and at that appointment I was released from all restrictions. I waited until I was 6 weeks post op before I took my first bath. It felt so great to sink down into the hotwater in the tub.

From what I've read every doctor is different. I've read on here before where several of our hystersisters were released for baths early on and others like myself had to wait longer. If you're nervous about it just wait a little longer. That's what I did with a few things. It doesn't hurt to be cautious.

Bath?

My doc gave me the ok for a bath or even hottub at 2 weeks. Boy did that feel good. Every afternoon I would take a hot bath while I had the house to myself.

Bath?

The day after my LAVH when I was discharged, my doctor recommended that I go home and take a bath. He even told me to take the steri strips off of the 2 little incisions that were made.

baths

My instructions said to wait one week. That was the hardest thing for me since my evening bath is my form of relaxation. I waited the week and my tape strips were still there a few days later when my dr removed them.

Bath?

I had a hemorrhoidectomy at the same time so I had to take hot shallow sitz baths about three times a day. After about a week I started taking full blown bubble baths. Still take one about every day!

Bath?

My Dr. said 4 weeks but I cheated yesterday so many people told me they had one and I couldn't take it. The bath really knocked out any guilt I had
