Hi Sisters,

I'm 8 weeks post-op and have had a very unremarkable recovery. I went back to work last week, and with the exception of being tired, I feel OK. That is, I did.
For the past three days, I have had a persistent, stabbing pain just to the right of my belly button. It's not deep... feels like it's just under the surface. I would rate it as a 6-7 on the pain scale. I called my doctor, and he wants to see me tonite!
He said he doesn't think it's serious, but would like me to come in before he leaves for the day.
I'm scared.
Any words of encouragement will be appreciated.

I would be encouraged by the words "I don't think it's serious". Doctors usually have a pretty good idea of what's going on when they say that. It's good that he wants to see you today before he goes home. Sounds like a good, caring doctor. Best wishes!
