Bye NED...it was a great dance...

I saw the oncologist today. I already knew that my abdominal, pelvic, and renal CT's were stable, and my mammogram was normal.

My CA-125 has taken a jump. My level from 12-26-04 was 37. The level from 2 weeks ago was 83. That is the highest it has ever been. When I went for surgery last June it was 53.

I will be having a PET/CT asap. After that, 99% sure I will be starting chemo again.

Glad I enjoyed a little bit of normal while it lasted.

This stinks.............

Just another reminder that I'm not in charge........

(((Linda)))

This news just STINKS! You must be feeling overwhelmed and frustrated and sad (I'm sure there are other feelings as well).

Well, I hope that the new round of testing gives the docs a clear course of action. If it's chemo, well, I hope it knocks every last one of those darn cells flat! And then you can go out shopping for a new dress and shoes--you'll need them for that new dance move that I'm sure NED is planning to teach you!!

's Linda! You are in my thoughts and 'ers. I hope that this is just a set of inaccurate blood tests and that all truly is well. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and wishing for a cancer-free future for you!

Linda,

First, a big comforting I'm so sorry to hear that you are going through all of this. I pray that your tests go well and if you do have to do chemo again, that it will take care of your cancer for good!

I will keep you in my prayers. God bless.

Darn that NED

Of course, the jump could be a fluke or caused by something else. The PET/CT should show what if anything's there. After that, you and your doctor can decide on the proper treatment. Recurrences stink bg time. But...deal with them we do and do and do. May this be quickly cleared up with whatever the Dr. recommends and NED come back forever!

So sorry to see this news. Major bummer!

I know though that you have the strength and wisdom to come through this challenge with flying colors. And, of course, you'll have strong support from your sisters here with lots of thoughts and prayers flowing your way.

With best wishes, prayers and s,

Sorry to hear about your CA125. Hopefully your PET/CT scan will prove otherwise.

Linda
Sorry that dang CA125 started to rise. That fickle NED.

Scream, Yell, and Throw things if that helps any. Then tackle those pesky cells with chemo again. NED will be back for you.

Hang in there (this is what my doctor says when he leaves the room)

Your fellow fallopian tube cancer survivor.

(((((((((Linda))))))))))))

I'm sorry! This totally stinks. I'll tell you what, tho.....I'm going to reserve a panic for when the pet/ct scans come back. You never know...it could be a false alarm!

If it's not, I know you will dig deep and find the strength for whatever is needed to kick some serious cancer butt once and for all!

You have my prayers and best wishes,

K9
