Thank you all so much! I appreciate all of your responses. At this point, since the pain hasn't happened again I think I will wait until next Tues. and discuss it at my 4 week check up. This is my first (and hopefully last) surgery, and I tend to worry a lot. So that burning pain in addition to a hard lump at the top of the right side of my incision (that I've convinced myself into believing is a hernia) have been driving me crazy. The body is such an odd thing. I know my doc did most of the work on the left, but most of my issues seem to be on the right.

I am glad the pain has stopped and write it all down so you don't forget to mention it at your postop appt.
As far as adhesions go, they start developing immediately after surgery for everyone, everytime you have surgery...just that some of us unlucky ones have ongoing problems with them and others never even know they exist inside and I hope that is the same for you.
