I'm now 2 months post op and the past couple of days I feel so bloated and my stomach is getting more and more swollen everyday. Has anyone else experienced swelly belly this long after surgery. Had vag hyster on Dec 9th, kept ovaries.

swelly belly after 2 months???

I had my TAH on 11/30/04, so I'm just a little further along than you, but I still get bouts of the wonderful swelly belly. In fact I have it today, and yesterday was fine. Not sure why some days are different than others, but they sure are. I hate it too. One day my pre-op clothes will fit fine, and the next day I want to wear sweats to work, but can't. I've definately tried to stay away from getting on the scales and just go by how my clothes are fitting. I don't know when this will stop, but according to other posters it could be quite awhile before we are completely through with it. Good luck to you and I wish you the best in healing.

I am 14 weeks out Thursday and I still have it. A small price to pay to have my life back but I wish it would go away. I am small to begin with so it is very noticable but I hide it with my clothes. My tummy sticks out more than pre-op when it was flat and I haven't gained any weight and I speed walk an hour a day so it isn't b/c I am not exercising. I do notice on days I work both jobs and walk 2 hours or more it is worse so I take it easy on days I only work 8 hours or have off from both jobs.
I wish it would go away!!!!
I have seen threads of ladies 4 months and longer out who still have it so this isn't unusual.

So we aren't the only ones....
