I am feeling awesome and hope the rest of you are also. Pain is a thing of the past, have not had discharge since my 2 day episode on my 2wk ann. I feel like I'm on top of the world and ready to begin my pad free life

Since this is week 5...I'm assuming the vivelle dot is working???How about the rest of you?

5 Weekers (2/9) How Are You???

I'll be five weeks on Friday and I too feel like I'm on top of the world!!

Went to Wal-Mart yesterday and had to park at the far end of the parking lot. As I walked I noticed that there was a spring in my step and that I had a pretty good stride going on!! I"M BACK!!

I still have some discharge (slow healing cuff stitches, I'm sure), but other than that I feel better than I have in years!! Can't imagine having gone through this without this site!

My face hurts from smiling!

5 Weekers (2/9) How Are You???

I'll be 5 weeks Friday. I can safely say I've turned the corner. Before it was 1 good day, 3 or 4 bad.Now its 4 good, then 1 bad.No pain at all! But, Im still sleeping in the recliner, as we have 2 dogs that sleep w us, and Im afraid Ill take a leg to the gut. I tried the bed Sunday, but couldnt do it. Every time I turned, I needed dh's arm to brace myself. I think that issue is a result of my tummy tuck/ab muscle repair.Im just now able to stand up straight. Other that that, I feel great.

5 Weekers (2/9) How Are You???

Hi,
I'm 5 weeks today too! Every day gets better and better. I feel terrific, still a little tired due to my anemia, but overjoyed at never having another period again! I only had about a tablespoon of blood after my LSH and did not get a mini-period!!! Yeah!

I'm 5 weeks out too...but unfortunately not feeling like any of you...had a couple of set backs...tore internally...now they tell me I developed a cyst on my left ovary. They kept both ovaries and took cervix. I noticed you said you had ab repair...what happened...I was told today I have to go to a plastic surgeon for ab wall repair.

5 Weekers (2/9) How Are You???

I had a full tummy tuck with muscle repair, in addition to my hysterectomy/bladder repair The plastic surgeon essentially took my separated ab muscles (thanks to having large babies)and sewed them up tight like a corset, then removed all that skin "overhang" i had from gaining all that pregnancy weight.

Happy 5-weeks to Me

Yes, with week five it does feel like the worst is over.
I still get swelly belly of the evenings, but the pain meds
are gone. I am more anxious to do housework and have
to keep telling myself to take it easy. I still have a small
discharge enough to wear a pad.
Looking forward to giving that up.

I can SLEEP ON MY SIDE now instead of only my back and
that is great!!!

I checked out the brand spanking new Super WalMart 30
miles from here and survived.

I have definitely appreciated reading the testamonials on this
website.

Thanx fellow hystersisters!

I am 5 weeks today and feel terrific! The only thing that reminds me that I had surgery is my swelly belly ... and even that is improving with time. I can't wait until my 6 week check ...

5 Weekers (2/9) How Are You???

I was 5 weeks on Tuesday and boy oh boy...let me tell you...there's been a HUGE difference between weeks 4 and 5 for me! Last week I was still feeling very tender and swollen. This week it's like something magical happened and that's pretty much gone! I go back to work next Wednesday (which I'm not looking forward to because of my witch of a boss) so I'm just taking this last week to relax and do things that I really want to do. I'm still not sure about wearing my "normal" clothes so I may have to go buy a few pairs of pants that are a couple sizes to big, but MAN...do I feel GREAT! It still hasn't quite sunken in that I don't have to stroll down the feminine hygiene aisle at the grocery store anymore or buy Pamprin by the cases...YIPPEE!!!!!!

Thank you Hystersisters and all of you!!!!

s,
Carrie
