Hello everyone...I had my TAH on 1/14/05 after having 2-3 week periods for about a year. The Dr suggested a transfusion before i left the hospital but I preferred not to. Now I am at 4 weeks and dealing with daily queasy type headaches, like nausea, but just in the head, not the stomach. I go back to see the Dr in 2 days. What symptoms have some of my other sisters out there had when dealing with anemia? I figure I will have my blood levels checked again, and maybe go with a transfusion if necessary..Any thoughts about that? Thanks.

Hi Toni;
I have anemia and the biggest "symptom" for me is fatigue! Some days it takes everything I have just to get out of bed! Another thing I get is totally white finger nails, no "pink" tint to them.
Did you keep your ovaries? Using HRT? I sometimes feel nauseated and have headaches before time to change my patch and headaches for 2-3 days after.
Be sure to make a note of things to talk to your doctor about so you don't forget anything. It's important you get your questions answered!

Best wishes to you!
