Thickened loop (loops) of small bowel & fluid in pelvis..

Does anyone know if these are signs of Adhesions?????

I am starting to get really scared now that I am reading more on Endo and Adhesions since it looks like I have been seeing idiot Dr.'s for the past few years.
I had CT scan, colonoscopy, Ultrasounds and upper and lower GI's a few years ago for Crohn's. They said everything was neg.

about one year later I had my son, then 3months after he was born I had TVH/kept ovaries. Still sick with monthly pain, nausea and monthly vomiting, insomnia.

I guess I need to do some more research on Adhesions and things that can happen to us with Endo. I never had a clue.
I was reading off of ER records I found.

If anyone knows anything about this let me know please!
I have an appt on 2/22 with new GYN. I'm so scared as to wht they will find with these symptoms.

Post when you can,
Thanks,
Shireen

Thickened loop (loops) of small bowel & fluid in pelvis..

Hi, I have endometriosis and adhesions so I will try and relay what I have been told by doctors.

After a hysterectomy, some looping of the intestines happens as they settle into the empty space which is left after the uterus is removed.

As far as the fluid, I had some free fluid on one side and the doc doing the ultrasound said that was because I had ovulated within the last week and it is normal.

I will recommend the book Endometriosis by Mary Lou Ballweg. She started the Endometriosis Association. I checked a copy out from the public library and am now purchasing one to keep handy.

If I can help you further, let me know.
