I have just passed the two week mark, I have no trouble falling asleep about 9:30 or 10 pm, but around 12:30 am, I can pretty much kiss sleeping anymore that night goodbye.

I toss, I turn, I go to the bathroom, go back to bed, toss, turn, repeat, until about 7:30 am then I get up.

I'm not taking any daily naps, and am moderately active in the day.

I know this topic has been discussed to death, I just wanted to let you know I"m joining the club.

I have started taking Melatonin but so far it has done nothing.

What I REALLY want to do, is down two Vicodin when I wake up in the middle of the night. That was the only thing that worked. But i'm not doing that anymore.

I"m thinking that for some reason for some people, about two weeks after surgery, this insomnia thing just happens. DId it happen at two weeks for anyone else? How long does this phase last for? It obviously can't go on forever.

Hi QB,

I was fine with sleeping til the last 3 days. I was planning on buying Melatonin today and will try it tonight. I asked my doctor about sleeping problems. He said lack of my normal lifestyle is (I'm up from 4:30 am til 9:00pm non-stop) isn't helping. He said once I get back into my normal everyday routine I should see a difference. I hope so.
