still hanging in there!

Hello and thanks for all of the well wishes I have received since having my surgery. You all are a blessing!
I am doing ok so far. I have really been trying to follow my doctor's instructions. It has been tough though!I feel so energized and it is hard to do basically nothing much. The ativan does help to relax me though.I still feel something like a bulge inside my vagina. I am hoping it is just from swelling still. I can't really tell if it is from the anterior wall or the posterior wall.My surgery was two weeks and two days ago. I have no more bleeding, so that is a good sign. I have noticed some discharge though that smells like urine just like I had experienced for months before this surgery. I am mad at myself for not waiting to get a urologist to place a suspension in there as recommended. I have my next appt. with my gyn in a little under two weeks. I may discuss getting a appt. with a urologist then. I have been experiencing mild lower right sided backaches every since 7 weeks post op from my TAH. I have no idea if this would have anything to do with my prolapses. These backaches have started waking me up very early the last few mornings. I took my first percocets since my surgery this morning.
I know no matter what happens in the future (with my small cystocele at present and stress incontinence)I will be fine. I feel so much better since having my hyst.and recent repair surgery. I will never regret getting myself to my gyn and taking care of myself. I do feel like a new person since this journey began nine months ago.
Tomorrow morning I will be sitting at the college taking my college placement tests. I am a little about it all, because I have been out of school for sooooooo long and have forgotten so much! It isn't a pass/fail test so I need to ease up on myself a little. Wish me luck.
you s are wonderful!!

I am sure you will do fine on your placement tests, but I know what you are feeling
I am glad to hear you are feeling pretty good today! When do you go for a follow up appt?

still hanging in there!

Hi Marian

I go for another appt with my gyn on the 25th? (on a Tuesday). I can't keep up on the date anymore.

I am having abdominal pain this evening. I guess I have over done it lately! I did laundry and vacuumed the house and cleaned out my bedroom closet. I know better than that, but can't seem to help myself.Maybe, one day I will learn how to do nothing.
I would just love to go soak in a bubble bath about now, but I am not allowed to take baths yet. This is too much like recovery days from the hyst when I thought I was superwoman.
I hope it is not too late to slow down and heal properly.

Thanks for always being so sweet and concerned for everyone!
