Question about s*x....tmi!!

I'll be 4 weeks out on Sunday. I'm not ready to yet but dh really is. So as I was taking care of him the other night he wanted to know if there was anything he could do for me. So here's my question... Is it the actual intercourse that's a no-no till 6 weeks or is it orgasm?

Question about s*x....tmi!!

It's the acutal intercourse itself, due to the doctor not wanting anything vaginally for that time. My doctor cleared us at 4 weeks out, but I had an LAVH with BSO. I don't know if it's different for the different surgeries or not.

Question about s*x....tmi!!

I am 16 days post op and had my first "O" this morning. Hubby did some gentle rubbing, nothing in the vagina. It was awesome. Dr said I will be clear at 4 weeks for full on sex. I can't wait!
I had a LAVH.

Question about s*x....tmi!!

God bless ya'll for wanting to even think about sex at this point..LOL...especially 16 days!!! LOL
While you shouldn't put anything in the vagina, remember, no oral either, this will introduce bacteria into the vagina. Also make sure DH or SO washes hands before anymore "gentle rubbing"
And more power to ya'll!!!! I know it was the LAST thing on my mind at the time.

Question about s*x....tmi!!

ginnie, call your doctor and ask. Some doctors differ and their advice may be because of the particular repairs they did during surgery.

Orgasms are usually associated with heavy muscular contractions and engaging too early may lead to a little pain the next day or possibly torn stitches.

Check with your doctor's office - mine said no orgasms for four weeks, so even if you have a restriction it would likely be lifted about now anyway.

Take care.

Question about s*x....tmi!!

Perfect thread for today. DH last nite asked me to get on this website and find out about first time love making after sugery. My doc has cleared me for 3 weeks for intercourse...8 more days to go. DH and I have been counting...it has been so long. Horrible non-stop menstrual bleeding since September is what led to surgery.

Anyway, my question is: what is the best/most gentle position to try out for the first time? DH keeps talking about how he can't wait for the 3 week "good to go" but is scared about hurting me.

All suggestions, comments and advice are welcomed!

Wishes for good healing all around,

Question about s*x....tmi!!

I think it was at my 4 week check up (maybe sooner) that my doc said oral stimulation was ok. I didn't get the ok for sex until 7 weeks.
