How odd is this....

All is going well so far for me but..... my DH has been having night sweats the last few nights (he said too many blankets) and I haven't had a one, maybe I should share my patches w/ him. LOL
So far, I haven't any hot flashes, problems sleeping just a couple of nights last weak w/ mild sweats but had that before my hyst if anything thats better. BTW, I had my 1st true case of the swelly belly last night, YUK. better this AM.

One other question, I started using the generic form of Climara last week and it fell off in 3 days. The 1st 2 wks had samples of the brand which stayed on. But having trouble w/ insurance and getting the brand because if there is a generic form available I have too get it. Working w/ dr to get insurance to allow the brand form. My question is Does anyone know what the regular cost is for Climara w/o insurance. I'm concerned w/ the patches in the summer because I do want to swim and going on a mission trip to Mexico in July worried they want stay on

Praying everyone will have a good day,
Denise

How odd is this....

Denise,

I started on the generic Climara a little over a week ago and it fell off at 5 days. I realized that I am using a moisturizing body wash in the shower and it most likely leaves a residue on my skin that is interfering with the adhesion. The women on the Hormone Jungle forum suggested cleaning the area first with alcohol, pressing firmly for a little while and then using a blow drier to warm the patch when you put it on. I also switched to my upper buttocks area and feel more comfortable with it there as opposed to on my abdomen.

I don't know prices...sorry...actually a lot of women suggested the Vivelle patch as it sticks the best. My insurance won't cover it. Also, the doctor wrote the prescription to change the patch 1-2 times per week but the pharmacy only gave me 4 patches for the month. I am going to argue for the rest of the patches with one copay.

Chesk out the Hormone Jungle when you get a chance.

Jennifer
